Assistant Dirk
Dirk is your assistant coach for getting to know the game: he explains every screen on your first visit, walks you through the HQ, gives you a roadmap for the first days – and after that a tip from the engine room every day. Had enough? Switch him off.
What Dirk does
- Onboarding: from the start screen through manager name and world selection to the club exchange, Dirk accompanies every step.
- HQ tour: the first time you open the HQ he shows you the command centre – matchday view, competitions, Match Day, Club, Transfers, Finances, slush fund, the "90+5" magazine, Friends and the menu.
- First steps: on the next start comes the roadmap with six tasks every good manager tackles first: check the line-up, set the training, sign sponsors, set ticket prices in the stadium, scout the youth and secure the account.
- Screen cards: around 45 screens have their own cards – from league, cup and line-up through training, stadium and transfers to crest & kit, Ballon d'KoF and minigames. They appear automatically on the first visit.
- Dirk tip of the day: once tour and roadmap are done, Dirk brings a tip along on the first app start of each day – from a pool of 35, random and without repeats until all have been shown. "One more tip" gets you the next one right away.
Dirk's tips aren't platitudes but the real rules: the risk-free first two negotiation rounds, the three regeneration units per day, the sweet spot of 3 to 5 sponsor appointments, season tickets on matchdays 1 to 5. Know all 35 and you know half the wiki.
The Dirk icon
Dirk's head sits at the top of the header. Tap it and the cards of the current screen play again – handy if you swiped through too fast the first time. If he has nothing to say about a screen, he'll tell you that too.
Switching off & resetting
Under Settings → Assistant Dirk you'll find two switches:
- Show tutorial tips – off, and Dirk takes a break: no cards, no daily tip. The icon stays in case you need him after all.
- Reset tour – all screens count as unvisited again and Dirk explains everything from scratch. Ideal after a big update.
Both are stored on the device: on a new phone the tour starts over. Dirk always speaks the language of your app. And he never pushes – cards only appear once the screen has finished loading and no other window is open.
Dirk = onboarding, HQ tour, "First steps" roadmap (6 tasks), cards for around 45 screens on the first visit, daily Dirk tip (35 of them, "One more tip") · the Dirk icon in the header replays the cards · Settings → Assistant Dirk: tips on/off, reset tour · stored on the device.
