Training
Training has two sides: it keeps your team fit for the next matchday and develops them into better players long-term. You'll want to keep an eye on both.
Team training
Each day there are 9 units. You can pick a predefined training day with a focus (fills all 9 units) or fill each unit individually by tapping its icon.
- Short-term, training affects stamina, freshness and morale – these feed straight into line-up strength.
- Long-term, all other units improve the attributes, which only take effect at the PSD.
Fewer than 3 freshness units (Rest, Jogging, Recovery) per day cause morale loss – your players train "into the red". So plan recovery deliberately.
Tap a training value to see the average daily development versus the previous day.
Individual training
Individual training develops one player in one value. It's a bit less effective than team training but can be set per player.
The individual training you set is only applied on days where the team training includes the Individual training unit.
Special training
With the Special training unit you teach a player a special ability or improve it. Each unit raises the chosen ability's progress; at 100% the next level is unlocked – this now takes only about 40 units per level (was ~80).
A player can hold up to three abilities. Details, the full list and tips are in the special abilities article.
Freshness, stamina & morale
- Freshness drops through matches and intense training and is the most important daily-form lever. The ability Iron Lungs reduces freshness loss and speeds up freshness/stamina training.
- Stamina builds up/down more slowly and is the "base endurance".
- Morale is the strongest daily-form lever – above 100 is gold, well below it costs real strength.
Find the balance: focus on freshness before important matches, develop attributes in quiet phases. Constantly "grinding" loses morale – and points.
