Transfer market

On the transfer market you bring in reinforcements or cash in. Know the auction rules and you won't overpay – or sell too cheap.

How auctions work

Players on the transfer list are sold to the highest bidder. To bid, you first have to negotiate a contract with the player (wages & bonuses). After the auction ends, the player changes club.

Second price

As the highest bidder you only pay the price of the second-highest bid. So you can bid your true maximum without automatically "overpaying".

Minimum price

The minimum price a player can be listed at is predetermined and based on factors like position, age and strength. If a listed player receives no bids, the system buys him for the minimum price after the transfer window – so you're never stuck with an unsellable player.

Search & sorting

The search lets you filter by position, age and strength and sort by remaining auction time. That's how you find exactly the reinforcement your squad is missing – or a bargain others overlooked.

What to watch out for

Know the strength and talent before you bid, and keep an eye on your budget (see Finances). Young talents are often the better investment than expensive "finished" players.
